Local Surf Breaks


The Lennox National Surfing Reserve which incorporates the surfing breaks at Flat Rock, Boulder Beach, Lennox Point and Lennox Main Beach meets the criteria for Reserve status. These breaks have been surfed by thousands since the late 1950.







Our beautiful 7 Mile Beach

The sensational Seven Mile beach runs south from the famous boat channel down to the Lennox Head Surf Club with the family friendly patrolled beach and on low tide you can wonder all the way and beyond north to Broken Head. The prestine ocean you can see all the way to Byron Bay light house.







The boardwalk

Take a walk up along the boardwalk which goes all the way up to the Lennox Point look out, you can also walk over to Boulders Beach if you are feeling adventourous.
There is a footpath which starts at Rutherford St and continues around the Point also that is perfect to take the kids for a bike ride.







Lake Ainsworth

The Lake is situated north of the town and 50 metres behind the dunes. The lake is a fresh water lagoon that is permanently discouloured by tea-tree tanins leaching from the treas that surround the lake. There are free electric BBQs and plenty of picnic tables
The ti-trea water is said to have health giving and rejuvenating properties.







Whale watching

Whales can be easily seen from the Pat Morton Lookout at the top of the Lennox Headland. There is a walking track that leads east along the headland to one or two other prime viewing positions. Whales pass by Lennox Headland in June/July on their annual migrationto warmer waters and then they pass again heading south during September/October.
